Has anybody noticed that bands suck these days?

There's maybe 1 good band on headbangers ball. I'm 28, not that old. But it all sounds like banging and screaming. Who likes that ****? Whenever I go to "hot topic" (don't laugh at me) to check out the "new" music it all sounds terrible. I love metal, but I need some rythm.

Hard rock is dominates my cd collection but nowadays I can't find any metal bands that I like.

In the nineties I loved Deftones, Korn, Marilyn Manson, , Sepultura, Fear Factory, etc and when I mention this a lot of people think it's funny but damn it. In the nineties alls these bands were really exciting and offering something new to the genre which doesn't seem to happen today.

I have no doubt that it's a lot to do with me getting older but I just can't help think that todays teenagers are missing out on the rebellion, cheap production and cheap music videos that we lovedand what felt so much more underground and rough.

I'm not very keen on metal but there are worthy bands to point out like Tool, A Perfect Circle, Rammstein, Scarsonbroadway, Stone Sour! wink

yeah, JKpunk. I listened to all those bands too and still do occasionally. The last good cd I bought (besides "dead planet") was probably mastodon's "blood mountain" or Lamb of Gods "ashes of the wake". Even if that **** is too heavy for some people, the riffs and change-ups are awsome. You got to respect the talent there. "Like a bombbbb!!!!!"
