My course sounds VERY similar!
Subjects on diseases, anatomy, pharmacology, etc. Later next month i have to do some work in the hospitals which im excited about :D Not so much about having to give my first needle, but i figure i'll get over that relatively easily! ahah

And your course will go quickly, dont worry!!! :) It'll be over before you know it!

Now, I'm doing training in the hospital and I'm very tired! sick.gif Next month, I'll have to do some examinations! dead.gif

I was like that after my first year. I stayed for another year. Now have deferred my 3rd and final year. Well, what was to be my 3rd year. I failed a few subjects due to lack of interest. I'm living on the other side of Australia now too so it kinda makes wanting to move back home to finish uni kinda hard and less desirable. Also the workload drove me insane!

That is SO my issue at the moment.
Like, don't get me wrong, i really want to do nursing, it's just the uni and theory part which bores me to tears. I LOVE the prac part and hands on stuff.
One of my close friends in Sydney is having the same problem with her art course at the moment, so were planning a massssssive Europe trip for after we graduate, so we have something decent to work towards.

I think if i deferred, i wouldn't go back... Ever.
I did a marketing degree before this one, and worked for a bit as well, so i hate being poor again, and i think if i went back to working full time, i wouldn't want to be the "poor student" again.

I looked at changing my major. Dropping Journalism and doing Professional Writing. It suits me more because its more magazine based than it is newspaper/radio. I can't write short, concise sentences. I started to think that Journalism was for those that want to write but don't know how to articulate. It makes total sense.

I also looked at doing uni here in Melbourne and they don't offer the same courses as they do in Perth. Not even at RMIT, which is my uni's sister school (meaning you can transfer easily). I would also have to sit a SAT exam which I'm not keen on doing. I'm gonna give Melbourne another year and then see if I want to go back to Perth and study (I'll be exempt from a lot of classes so I'd graduate early) or stay here and drop out. The only part of my degree that I really should finish is the PR bit. Employers look fondly at those that have that. Even in the music industry (where its more about who you know than what you know).

Yeah, plus im sure you dont want a Hecs debt for nothing as well...
That's one thing about dropping out, it's like... i've worked up all this debt for nothing.

One thing im looking forward to about nursing is if iget sick of doing something like theatre nursing (Which i want to do) i can always get trained up and move over to Emergency, and it'll be a completely different environment. Plus it wont be toooooo monotonous either... Thankgod im developing a strong stomach :s

There's ways of getting out of paying HECS - leaving the country, earning less than 38K a year, etc.

I'm a poor student, instead of to be a rich worker.
I'm old to study; unfortunately, here in Italy, the nurse is only hope to work; there arent' other works to do.
I'm an accountant, but I dont' find to work in this field; however, I like to be a nurse.
