Best 1970's band?

So the 90's were mostly a low point in rock music, I think the 70's were a high point... soo.... since I'm bored I thought I'd do another poll. Best band from the 1970's? (not all bands were FORMED in the 70's, but were popular and released the majority of their popular albums in that decade)

Tough one, but from that list I'd say Led Zep.

Personally I'd say Thin Lizzy as I love them, oh Deep Purple too.

70's was a awesome era for rock music IMOsmile

Yeah Thin Lizzy is a great one, there was only room for 20 choices though. I don't know, maybe I should have included them instead of Nugent.

It's a tough call, so much choice! I'm bias, as I'm obsessed by thin lizzy. I'm pleased to say both them and Deep purple are still rocking hard, seen them both twice in last 3 years and man they are old but cool!!biggrin

Its a tough call between Ramones and Joy Division for me. Joy Division isn't in the list, so I'll go with Ramones.
