Yeah, it has to be SFTD for me. Grohl is my favourite drummer. He should never ever have moved to the front of the band when he's that good. If he was a mediocre drummer, I would've understood. But yeah, also Mark Lanegan can make me wet and all he has to do is sing. He has the same effect on me that I'm sure Isaac Hayes had on the ladies. And obviously, you can't go past the chemistry between Nick and Josh.
Dave Grohl is the best drummer in the world about me; but he didn't show his talent when he was with Nirvana! I loved him very much with Scream!

What?? C'mon! His talent was already there he just wasn't the attention person in the band.. Kurt was. There are a lot of songs in Nevermind that are amazing, and In Utero as well.
I agree with Laura here. Dave Grohl is an awesome drummer but I only realised this when listening to SFTD. This is only because Nirvanas music was never that technical and also I don't think he was given much scope to show off. That's just how things worked in Nirvana and as we know it worked well. Nirvana are one of the best rock bands ever in my opinion and I'm sure many other peoples.
Grohl and Novoselic arent' come out from Nirvana, because Cobain hasnt' really given them the possibility to express themself. I dont' remember, but Dave has never written a song for Nirvana when we know that in Foo Fighters he's a good writer, too. About me, Grohl has played Cobain's shadow.
Dave Grohl wrote and recorded 'Marigold', the B-Side to Heart Shaped Box. So, yeah, he did write for Nirvana.
Obviously, Kurt was the main focus in Nirvana, thanks greatly to the media. But that isn't to say that the other two weren't just as important. Krist was Kurt's rock. And its just plain stupidity to say "Kurt didn't give them the possibility to express themselves".

I'm not saying that they werent' important, but that they aren't come out! People will remember Dave Grohl, because he has written "My Hero" and not for "Marigold", for "In Your Honor" and not for the B-Side to Heart Shaped Box!

Kurt played drums on Marigold so it still didn't show off the drumming skills but it was cool that he got a chance to do lead vocals for Nirvana. It makes you think what could've been if Kurt was still alive and Nirvana went on to make more albums.
I do agree that Krist Novosleic was kurts rock. He was the sanity that kept Nirvana together and his stage pressence was awesome. He was a towering guy who always gave it his all on stage but musically he had very little input. Despite that though he was the guy who had the catchiest bass lines ever... How ever I've never been impressed by his song writing from what I've heard of Sweet 75 and Eyes Adrift.
Tough choice between S/T and R. But in the end it's R. But somedays I dream about Nick, Josh, Chris, Dave and Alfredo coming together and making the album to end the world.
