With Nick Oliveri bringing his band The Mondo Generator to Australia for the first time in late August for shows in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, we are pleased to announce the release of a six track Australian exclusive tour ep.
Featuring the single 'Lie Detector' lifted from the bands latest album 'Dead Planet', the rest of the release will feature tracks either previously unreleased or released in limited numbers internationally. 'You Can't Put Your Arms Around A Memory' is a Johnny Thunders cover that Nick recorded acoustically in the studio, while an acoustic version of the track 'Autopilot' which Nick penned while in Queens Of The Stone Age is also featured and is sung by Mark Lanegan. The remaining three tracks are live recordings with an early Mondo Generator line up that included Dave Catching(Eagles Of Death Metal), Brant Bjork(Kyuss/Fu Manchu) and Molly McGuire(The Spores).
The six track release will be available in stores nationally on Impedance Records through Amphead Music from Saturday August 2nd.
Now to decide what I want to get signed... I can't take a whole pile of stuff with me, can I?!

I wouldn't take a lot of stuff, no. People assume you're selling the autographs when you bring several things. When I first met Lanegan, Nick was there and some kid had Lanegan signing all kinds of ****. The remark was made that the kid was going to make a fortune on eBay.
I'm deciding between vinyl and the poster that was used for promo in Australia for Dead Planet. It has a quote of mine on there. The vinyl may get broken.
