Anyone bought USDT with a debit card? Need a stablecoin for trading

I'm getting into crypto trading and want to buy some USDT to have a stable asset for moving between exchanges. I'd prefer to use my debit card since it's simple and I'm used to it. But I'm wondering about the process how long does verification take? Are the fees reasonable? And most importantly, is it actually instant or do I have to wait? Would appreciate hearing from someone who's done this recently.
