Stinking Lizaveta,Torche,The Sword-Houston,Tx.
First time seeing Stinking Lizaveta. If you get an opportunity, I highly recommend you check them out. Heavy, loud & trippy. How often do you get to see someone jam on an upright? Torche jammed, as usual. My head still feels like I'm listening to the world while under water. Always a good sign.

Without meaning to seem pretentious the only live jams I've watched in venues have had uprights as improv is very much a jazz thang.
I also find jams hard to enjoy. They're infinately more satisfying when you play a part but when you're just witnessing it can get a bit dull.

It wasn't an improv thing, and they weren't playing jazz, but metal. I use "jam" as a figure of speach. Uprights aren't as prevalent here, especially at metal shows.

There's this band here called The Noise Club Band. Every single show they do, they encourage people coming to the show to bring instruments and to join them on stage for a jam. They get the support bands on stage. I've seen them play with 20 different people throughout their set. It's pretty rad.

Saturday night was the official warm-up to the skatepark's opening w/The Party Downers, Frontside Five, and Bark Hard.




But you know it ain't party 'till the chicken's in the pit!






And it gets better!

Im going to see The Gutter Twins In London in August! Can't wait!!! Just got a ticket For Mark Lanegan and Isobel Campbell at Shepherds Bush next week too....Sweet!!! Cavalera Conspiracy creeping up quickly too!!!
